Re: [ecc] reed solomon

To all of you who are struggling with the key equation solver
(Berlekamp Massey algorithm). The hardware structure is explained
very nicely in the following paper:

"High Speed Architectures for Reed-Solomon Decoders",
Dilip V. Sarwate and Naresh R. Shanbhag.

You can download the paper from www.citeseer.com.

The paper describes several hardware architectures for the BMA.
They are all *very* simple to implement.

If you still have problems, I have a C program that implements one
of their design and some preliminary Verilog code.
