/dev/null is, in the case of "clone", only a keyword: in this case, /bin/clone
skip the bootloader installation phase.

Anyway, I restructured totally the "clone" command. The code is now
fractured in many included file, easy to mantain and to test.
It has now two mode: the "full-screen" mode (old way) and the
"command-line" mode.

The command-line mode uses non-UNIX syntax ( the parser is SplitArgs in
/etc/utils, very easy to use):

        # clone install=umsdos|ext2|loop
                boot=/dev/... root=/dev/...
                loader=loadlin|lilo

Finally, it is able to use LILO correctly.

remember any. Would two negative ones do? -- Woody Allen
