Hi Uwe,

No I have no experence with Altera's core, I am trying to replace a PCI
bridge chip from PLX. I am also some way from finishing the project because
I have to complete the back-end, wishbone to external bus, and also try to
simulate the result. The motivation is that now programmable logic is
getting cheaper than the bought in item. I am also new to verilog, having up
to now used Altera's own AHDL. However it only took about a day to get it
all to compile once I had configured suitable dual port RAM blocks.
