Heh. Well, I'm not really the best authority on that, and I don't know what 
changes were made; but I'd be surprised if the change happened very quickly.  
Chipsets will have to be released that support it, and that will probably 
take some time; perhaps we'll see the first in six to eight months. I'd give 
it a couple of years until deployment is widespread, but even then, it's 
certain to be backward compatible, and so it will most likely not affect 
existing cards, so long as they have been correctly designed. Just don't use 
any of the pins marked 'reserved' ;-)
