[openrisc] eCos source and Insight building

I notice that the whole eCos tree is checked into or1k directory. But I also
notice support for the OpenRISC in the definitive eCos source in
sources.redhat.com. I'm concerned that two distinct repositories will get
out of step. Shouldn't the single definitive eCos CVS repository (i.e.
Redhat) be the one which is maintained? Or does the OpenCores CVS repository
somehow point to the Redhat CVS repository?

I'm still a bit confused by how the symbolic links are done in the CVS
repository. I can see the files are the same - any hints on how you actually
do this, just for my understanding?

Also I tried to build Insight by creating a separate build directory and it
didn't work - you have to configure and make in the checked out directory.
Is this intentional?
