RE: [openrisc] Development board

Hi,
We are currenlty using Avnet ADS-XLS-DEV-XE4000 development board
to run the OpenRisc. The board is dsesigned to sit in a PC using
the PCI interface. So to make life easier the instruction & data RAM (inside
FPGA)
is 32K Dualport so we download the program code over the PCI
connected to one port & the core is connected to other port
a PCI write to a register brings the core out of reset and execution begins
At any time we can halt the processor, download new code and restart.

The board also has 128MB external SRAM & 16MB Flash which could also be used

Regards,

Mike Scott

Hi,

I heard Avnet and Insight also provide FPGA boards. But I don't
know whether any one has used those boards to run the Openrisc.
Can any body comments on boards from Avnet and Insight?

youwen
