Thanks for the info, I checked out the ORsoc page but didn't find the 
verilog source code. I noticed there was 2 development boards used 
Xess and flextronics. I am hesitant to purchase the XESS board because 
it only has an older virtex 800 part and 4 8-bit memories - also it has 
been discontinued (they have one left). I really liked the flextronics PDA 
board. I saw that it was not for commercial sales, but I tried them 
anyway. I never got anyone to call me back. If niether of these are 
good choices is there another SOC dev board you could recommend? I 
need to get this project underway, so I need to buy a dev board soon
