[ethmac] MDIO Query

Hello,

      I have a confusion releted to 802.3ae clause 45 on Management 
Data Input/Output Interface.
My query is :
 "Can I implement all the registers specified in clause 45 in seperate
block ? If yes how the interaction between physical devices and
corresponding registers take place ? Will it be through the serial
interface only or do I need to bring out parallel signals to the
Physical devices?"
