RE: [ecc] Joigning the Viterbi Project

Hi Chi Van,

Actually, I am interested in developping the Viterbi decoder with Soft
decision for better coding gains and batter performance.

If you give me the caracteristics of the viterbi decoder you're loking for,
I could perhaps work on the right convolutionnal polynomial right away ...

I have a certain knowledge of turbo-decoding and LDPC Codes. I guess
it would be interesting to implement these in hardware in the future ...

As a first step, I will try to implement as I mentionned a viterbi decoder
based on soft decisions.

I will be involved as much as I can in the next couple of weeks and I
hope there are some other people contributing to this branch ...

Dali
