In fact this threshold can be programmable, if it is too large it will be very difficult (takes long
time) to trigger start of new packet, if it is too small it could trigger on too many packets and give
bad results.
According to the hamming distance of the access code which is 6 the threshold can be set to 6.

I think it should be in 20 us because the Rx slot can start within +-10 us, I am not sure about his why

This depends on your system implementation it could be the maximum packet size.
