Registration
In oder to make the Zwap-service ready for
personal use you need to register. Select the link
"Registration" and fill in the fields of the Zwap member
registration formula. In the following a screen shot shows the
entry fields. See below the detailed descriptions of the entry
fields.
Obligatory fields, which have to be filled:
- Account name: Enter a short string in this field. You
need the account name to configure the Zwap service and to get
access to your personal data from a WAP device or by means of the
web-based HTML interface. Note: If you use a short string, you do
not need to enter much characters into your WAP device, which is
more comfortable, but we it is left up to you to choose the length.
- Password: Enter a string. This password is needed to
configure the Zwap-service and to get access to your personal
data by means of the web-based HTML interface.
- POP3-Server1: Enter the address of the POP3-server from which
Zwap should fetch the Email you want to read on a WAP device.
- POP3-Account: Enter the name of the mailbox account
name, which is hosted on the server you entered in the
"POP3-Server1"-Field. We do not need the password of your
mailbox account. For this password you will be asked every
time you login to the Zwap-service by your WAP device. Note: Your
POP3 password will not be stored on the Zwap-Server.
- POP3-Server2 and corresponding POP3-Account: See description
of POP3-Server1 and POP3-Account. You can configure the
Zwap-service to get access to your email from up to three
POP3-servers.
- WAP-Language: Zwap is an international medium ;-) and thus you
can choose the language, which will be presented to you by the
HTML interface and by the WML interface. The Zwap-Service is
prepared to support more languages. We need volunteers to
translate the messages Zwap presents to a user.
- WAP-Font: Choose the font which is to be used to display data on
your WAP device.
- Default Mail Filter Type: If the filter is active, Zwap does
not display email on your WAP device which fits to a filter you
configured (see also: How do I
activate a predefined filter with a WAP device? and How do I define a
filter?). Activating the filter could save you much money
because it avoids mobile online time. If you select "none" all
email is displayed. If you select "reject" all email is displayed
excluding the email which fits to the reject filters you have defined.
If you select "accept" by default no email is displayed. You can define
a filters, which select emails accepted for displaying.
Non-obligatory fields:
- The fields Firstname, Family name, Phone, Email,
Address, are self-describing.
- Notes: If you want to make some notice.
- Question: If you have lost your Zwap-password, Zwap asks this
question to request the String you have entered in the
Answer-field as an alternative Zwap-password. (Note: This functionality
is not yet available. Volunteers?!)
- Answer: see description of Question
