How can I get my email with a WAP device?
 |
In order to get access to your personal information you have
to configure your WAP device to get the login page (http://www.zwap.de/z.wml).
On this page enter your Zwap account name and the password of the
POP3-mail-server from which you want to retrieve your
email. Make sure that you do not enter your Zwap
password, which is only needed to configure your personal Zwap
service and to explicitly cancel a running session).
|
 |
To fetch your email select z:server1 (corresponds to
POP3-Server1). You can configure Zwap via the HTML
interface to receive email from up to three POP3-servers. Read
also the registration
description to see how you can define from which POP3 server
your email should be fetched by Zwap.
|
 |
After Login Zwap presents your email available in the POP3
mailbox you selected. For each email Zwap shows the content of
the from- and subject-field. By selecting the subject-link you
can request the body of the corresponding email.
|
 |
After requesting the body of an email Zwap shows in the
top of the display the sender name. To see the whole content
you can scroll down. First the date and subject is displayed
again followed by the message/content of that email.
|
 |
Mobile WAP devices lack storage capacity thus it is possible only
to receive/request about 1400 bytes at once. If your email is
longer than 1400 bytes, Zwap fragments that email, thus you
can also read your 10MB email (... if you are Bill Gates and
your mobile provider gives you unlimited credit ;-). Select
from the navigation menu the link z: weitere Zeilen/z: next
lines to receive the next fragment of that email. Note:
your original email will be not fragmented by Zwap.
|
 |
Because of the lack of storage capacity of mobiles only the
from- and subject-fields of five emails are displayed. If there
are more than five emails in your POP3 mailbox Zwap provides the
link z: weitere Mails/z: next mails to receive the next
email list containing further emails.
