The <a href="http://www.openpkg.org/">OpenPKG</a> project uses
<a href="http://www.ietf.org/rfc/rfc2440.txt">OpenPGP</a>
(RFC 2440) public key cryptography for digitally
signing <a href="http://www.rpm.org/">RPM</a> <a
href="ftp://ftp.openpkg.org/release/">release</a> packages and <a
href="http://www.openpkg.org/security.html">Security Advisories</a>
about released packages. Hence it is important that OpenPKG users are
familiar with OpenPGP and Pretty Good Privacy (PGP) in general and with
<a href="http://www.gnupg.org/">GNU Privacy Guard</a> in particular.
This site is both a small OpenPGP Public Key server for the OpenPKG
community and a reference collection of the essentials about GnuPG and
OpenPGP.
