  OpenPKG Roles
  =============

  In the OpenPKG project a few distinguished roles exist. Each role is
  assigned to one or more project members, usually for a longer period
  of time.

  Project Owner (PO)
  ------------------

  o Responsibility:
    - Ensuring sponsoring availability (manpower, bandwidth)
    - Ensuring infrastructure availability (server, network)
    - Ensuring project team foundation
    - Ensuring community foundation

  o Assignment:
    - Ralf S. Engelschall <rse@@openpkg.org>

  Principal Architect (PA)
  ------------------------

  o Responsibility:
    - Reviewing all(!) CVS repository commits
    - Merge-From-CURRENT (MFC) for OpenPKG-RELEASE
    - Blessing packages for different class (upgrade or downgrade)
    - Decisions on general project architecture and design
    - Decisions on general project goals and direction of evolution
    - Reviewing of press releases

  Developer (DEV)
  ---------------

  o Responsibility:
    - Creating additional packages
    - Improving existing packages
    - Improving packaging facility
