What is the last version? What the kernel serie?
Anyway, Debian package usually are at the state of art. I have problem
featching software from SourceForge. Regularly, they do not compile under
Debian. I think, sourceforge guys always use and suppose the last version
of any software :-(
If you do not have the last GTK+ library, the last GLIB library etc
no hope to compile theyr programs.
