GNOME is known as full of beginner programming errors, references to headers of not yet unpublished or obsolete programs, etc etc. As stand-alone desktop environment it's not acceptable for SYS. But some aplications we compile for be used in other environments such like KDE, which includes always painstaking efforts of error corrections. For plugins or extensions only limited efforts are justified, packaging the best ones and let away all remaining. Also in the current package are included only these plugins / addons which we get working within 20 iterations of corrections, it remains the responsibility of the program's programmers to correct it for it runs better.
