Ganymede
--------

The 2.0 directory contains Ganymede the latest build of version 2 of
Ganymede, a sophisticated, multi-user, client-server network directory
management system written in Java.

The 2.0 directory also contains the first Ganymede schema kit for the
2.0 Ganymede series. userKit contains support for bootstrapping
Ganymede with user and group data on just about any UNIX system, and
replaces the old, obsolete nisonly, bsd, and linux schema kits that
were formally packaged in the Ganymede archive.

See 2.0/CHANGES for what's new.

Note that all ganymede archives may require GNU tar for extraction.
Solaris tar has difficulties with some of the long path/file names
in the javadocs directory in the archive.

The Ganymede web page is at http://www.arlut.utexas.edu/gash2/

Please email any comments on Ganymede to the Ganymede mailing list at
ganymede@arlut.utexas.edu. If you want to join this mailing
list, send mail to majordomo@arlut.utexas.edu with 'subscribe
ganymede' in the message body.

Thanks!
