Pine Release Notes Version 4.51 (built 2002/12/13 ) University of Washington Pine(R) is the University of Washington's "Program for Internet News and Email". It is intended to be an easy-to-use program for sending, receiving, and filing Internet electronic mail messages and bulletin board (Netnews) messages. There are versions that will run on many different flavors of the Unix(R) operating system, as well as a version with GUI amenities for 32-bit flavors of Microsoft Windows (95, 98, NT, 2000, Me, and XP). New in Pine 4.51 Version is a mostly bug-fix release which addresses bugs found in previous releases. Additions include: * New feature "Disable-Sender" * New feature "Scramble-Message-Id" * New feature "Spell-Check-Before-Sending" * New pico option -Q Bugs that have been addressed in this release include: * Malformed Date in first message of mailbox causes threading crash * Fetching POP3 message when /tmp and/or /var/tmp is full causes crash * In Rules, Current Folder Type of Any should match even if no current folder * Get rid of extra screen redrawing when collapsed thread is changed * Allow setting Index Line Color to Default explicitly * Fix LDAP URL parsing * When Zoomed, Unselect current message advances past next message * Malformed From address shown incorrectly in THREAD INDEX * Missing Date in message causes truncated THREAD INDEX display * Tab should skip over messages inside collapsed thread * Hangs when sending base64 encoded text * Current message number not correctly updated when viewing a message with reverse sorting * Interoperability problems between pre-4.50 and 4.50 remote address books * Role SMTP server not saved when postponing * Fix delays and multiple warning messages when unexpected text appears after a BASE64 part * Fixed session-wide underlining or bolding caused by malformed enriched or richtext messages Version 4.50 was an evolutionary release which introduced some new functionality.
